PQ Symposium WHERE ARE WE?

4-6 May 2022, Pražská tržnice, hall 13

We are pleased to welcome you to the PQ Symposium WHERE ARE WE? Bringing together amazing artists and experts in scenography and performance design, as well as the international team of PQ 2023, we will share space for new views and practices in modern art and theatre.

Please, find the detailed programme of the symposium here.

Performance Space Exhibition deadline

Performance Space Exhibition treats performance spaces as platforms enabling communication and encounter. We seek spaces that are new and courageous. Theatre is no longer the limit for where one performs; unique places of assembly and imagination arise from the sheer necessity to create while theatre seats remain empty. This project acknowledges unusual venues, site-specific and virtual spaces as crucial in shaping cultural landscapes, stimulating social action and reinforcing the communities.

Along with Andrew Filmer, curator and Senior Lecturer in Theatre and Performance at Aberystwyth University, “we welcome the submission of any type of space that has been created or adapted for performance, whether large or small, indoor or outdoor, purpose built or appropriated, temporary or permanent. The space need not have been designed by an architect.”

The call for the Performance Space Exhibition is open until 30 April 2022.
