In partnership with several international online open-source publications, PQ is creating a knowledge exchange platform that will be a space for sharing essential findings and ideas and an open dialogue connecting practice, research, and theory.
EMERGENCE. From shared experience to new creativity. Living Heritage/Reframing Memory is a project that focuses on scenography in the context of Europe’s cultural heritage and its specific geographical and political conditions. PQ Stories are narrated by participants, colleagues, artists, curators and visitors who experienced the Prague Quadrennial in the last several years. PQ Studio is an integral part of the Prague Quadrennial festival, which focuses mainly on young and beginning designers. It is usually held during the festival and is filled with professional workshops, masterclasses and other events. However, PQ Studio: Common Design Project Special Edition was conducted online in response to the coronavirus situation. It was our annual contribution to education and two-semester intensive collaboration with universities from around the world. The idea of PQ podcasts was born during the spring of 2020 in response to a pandemic situation. The podcasts, which we eventually named the Global Performance Encounters, arose spontaneously from the need to stay in touch with colleagues and friends from the theatre world. Throughout podcasts, we try to present the human dimension of theatrical art in today’s world and the topics we all deal with in various local variations. See more.
